John Travolta’s Saturday Night Fever Suit Leads $10 Million Entertainment Memorabilia Auction

John Travolta’s iconic white suit from Saturday Night Fever will lead a major entertainment memorabilia auction featuring more than 1,700 original costumes, props and production artefacts.
Propstore’s Summer Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction will take place in Los Angeles from 26 to 29 August 2026. The four-day sale carries a combined pre-sale estimate of $10 million, with collectors able to participate through in-room, online, absentee and telephone bidding.
Travolta’s White Suit Takes Centre Stage
The leading lot is the three-piece white suit worn by Travolta as Tony Manero during the disco competition in Saturday Night Fever.
One of the most recognisable costumes in cinema history, the suit has an estimated value of between $200,000 and $400,000. It was previously owned by film critic Gene Siskel and includes a handwritten inscription from Travolta.
Another major costume in the sale is Frank the Rabbit’s principal outfit from the 2001 cult film Donnie Darko. Offered at public auction for the first time, the costume is estimated at between $100,000 and $200,000.
The sale coincides with the film’s 25th anniversary. The costume was previously exhibited at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
Props From Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and Batman Returns
A screen-matched mosquito preserved in amber from the opening sequence of Jurassic Park is expected to sell for between $100,000 and $200,000.
The auction will also include an original Golden Snitch from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Created by prop maker Pierre Bohanna, it was one of the first six Snitches produced and was used by the cast and crew as a lighting and scale reference. Its estimate is between $25,000 and $50,000.

- Edward Scissorhands’ scissorhands from Edward Scissorhands, estimated at $60,000 to $100,000
- Michael Keaton’s Batsuit from Batman Returns, estimated at $60,000 to $120,000
- Leeloo’s screen-matched light-up Multi Pass from The Fifth Element, estimated at $60,000 to $120,000
- Jack Torrance’s stunt axe from The Shining, estimated at $50,000 to $100,000
- Tony Stark’s light-up Iron Man Mark 46 upper-body armour from Captain America: Civil War, estimated at $40,000 to $80,000
- Michael Jackson’s were-cat prosthetic teeth from Thriller, estimated at $20,000 to $40,000
Four-Day Global Auction
The first day of the auction will begin at 9:30 a.m. PDT on 26 August at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. Public in-room bidding will be available alongside online, absentee and telephone bidding.
The remaining three days will begin at 9:00 a.m. PDT and will be conducted through online, absentee and telephone bidding.
Propstore is also presenting a public exhibition at Badd House in West Hollywood from 30 July to 2 August, giving collectors and film fans an opportunity to view selected lots before the auction.
