19 Aug 2026

The 90-minute event will feature world premieres, exclusive reveals, first-look gameplay and an instant game launch when it goes live on 24 August 2026.
London, UK — 19 August 2026 — Pixel Helix has revealed the final details for Pixel Arcadia: The Future of Retro, its new retro-gaming showcase set to debut on 24 August 2026.
The 90-minute event will bring together publishers, developers and fans for a programme focused on classic gaming culture, revived franchises and new releases inspired by the retro era.
The main show begins at 20:00 CEST / 19:00 BST / 14:00 EST / 11:00 PST, with a pre-show starting 30 minutes earlier.
World Premieres and Exclusive Reveals
Pixel Arcadia will include several world premiere announcements, including new titles and reimagined entries from established arcade and retro gaming franchises.
More than 30 publishers and developers are expected to take part in the showcase.
The event will also include exclusive first looks at upcoming releases, giving viewers early access to gameplay from selected retro-inspired titles.
One title will be released during the event itself, allowing players to access it immediately after its reveal.
Hosted by Hasraf “HaZ” Dulull and Dan Maher

The showcase will be hosted by Hasraf “HaZ” Dulull, independent developer and creator at Beyond the Pixels, alongside games presenter Dan Maher, also known as MrPointyHead.
Maher is known for his previous work with Inside Xbox, while Dulull brings experience from independent game development and content creation.
Together, they will guide viewers through the 90-minute programme and its announcements.
Pre-Show and Digital Foundry Retro Post-Show
Pixel Arcadia will begin with a dedicated pre-show at:
19:30 CEST / 18:30 BST / 13:30 EST / 10:30 PST
The pre-show will include additional reveals and first-look content before the main event begins.
After the showcase, Digital Foundry Retro will host a post-show focused on deeper discussion and analysis of the announcements.
Viewers will be able to watch Pixel Arcadia through YouTube, Twitch, Steam and GOG.com.
GOG.com and Clear River Games Support the Event
Pixel Arcadia has also confirmed GOG.com and Clear River Games as segment sponsors.
GOG.com is known for its DRM-free digital distribution platform and its work around game preservation.
Clear River Games focuses on physical releases, classic game revivals and retro-inspired titles.
Pixel Helix says the partnerships support its aim of giving retro games and their developers a dedicated platform rather than treating the category as a smaller part of a broader gaming showcase.
Retro Gaming Gets Its Own Stage
Retro gaming has grown well beyond simple nostalgia.
Publishers continue to restore older titles for modern systems, while independent studios increasingly build new games inspired by classic hardware, pixel art and arcade design.
Pixel Arcadia is positioning itself around that crossover between preservation and new development.
The event will spotlight both established gaming heritage and new releases that reinterpret classic ideas for current platforms.
