Limited Run Games and Aspyr bring Lara Croft’s Siberian adventure to Nintendo Switch 2 in two physical editions, featuring the complete game, additional content and exclusive collectibles as Tomb Raider celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Lara Croft's adventures are returning in physical form as Limited Run Games and developer Aspyr announce Standard and Collector's Editions of Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration for Nintendo Switch 2.
Announced on 6 October 2026, the physical release forms part of the celebrations surrounding the Tomb Raider franchise's 30th anniversary. Both editions include a physical game card and additional content from the 20 Year Collection, allowing players to revisit Lara Croft's journey through the dangerous landscapes of Siberia.
Pre-orders opened on 9 October and will remain available until 15 November 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time, with prices starting at $49.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Collector's Edition.
Lara Croft Returns to the Lost City of Kitezh

Originally released in 2015, Rise of the Tomb Raider follows Lara Croft as she investigates an ancient mystery involving the legendary Lost City of Kitezh.
Her journey takes her into Siberia, where she must survive extreme environmental conditions while confronting Trinity, a powerful organisation determined to uncover the same secrets.
At the centre of the story is the Divine Source, a mysterious artefact believed to possess the power of immortality.
The game combines exploration, survival mechanics, combat and environmental puzzles, with players navigating ancient tombs, gathering resources and using Lara's climbing equipment to access dangerous locations.
Throughout the adventure, players can craft weapons, customise equipment and choose different approaches to combat, from stealth to direct confrontation.
The 20 Year Collection Includes Additional Adventures

The Nintendo Switch 2 physical release includes the full game and its additional content, expanding the experience beyond the main storyline.
Players can explore Croft Manor in Blood Ties, a story expansion that examines Lara's family history and the secrets of her childhood home.
Lara's Nightmare introduces a different challenge, requiring players to defend Croft Manor against a zombie invasion.
Other included content features Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, which introduces a mysterious new tomb, and Cold Darkness Awakened, where players must confront waves of infected enemies.
The collection also includes online Co-Op Endurance mode, allowing players to survive harsh conditions alongside a friend, and Extreme Survivor difficulty for those seeking a more demanding experience.
Cosmetic additions include an outfit and weapon inspired by Tomb Raider III, alongside five classic Lara Croft skins.

Why Physical Editions Still Matter for Video Game Collectors
The announcement highlights the continued interest in physical gaming releases, even as digital distribution has become a central part of the video game industry.
For collectors, boxed editions provide tangible items connected to their favourite games, including artwork, physical packaging and exclusive memorabilia.
Limited Run Games specialises in producing physical releases of video games, including titles that may otherwise have limited availability in boxed formats.
The company's partnership with Aspyr brings another major franchise release to its catalogue, offering collectors an opportunity to add Rise of the Tomb Raider to their Nintendo Switch 2 libraries.
With the Collector's Edition featuring physical items inspired by the game's narrative, the release also connects the gaming experience with the wider culture of franchise collecting.
Tomb Raider Celebrates Three Decades of Adventure

The physical release arrives during Tomb Raider's 30th anniversary celebrations, marking three decades since Lara Croft first appeared in the original game.
Over the years, the franchise has become one of gaming's most recognisable adventure series, combining archaeological exploration, action and puzzle-solving.
Rise of the Tomb Raider represents a chapter in Lara's modern origin story, focusing on her development as an explorer and the challenges that shape her character.
Its arrival on Nintendo Switch 2 offers another opportunity for players to experience the adventure, while the physical editions provide additional options for collectors.
Aspyr has also contributed to the preservation and reintroduction of classic franchise titles through projects such as Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered.
Release Details and Pre-Order Availability
The physical Standard and Collector's Editions became available for pre-order on 9 October 2026.
Orders will remain open until 15 November 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time through Limited Run Games.
The supplied announcement does not specify a final shipping or delivery date for the physical editions.
